Here’s my NYE look #2!
This outfit is more for the sophisticated holiday event with a bubbling champagne toast at midnight. Black and white jumpsuit (one of my favorite articles of clothing), White blazer, sequin heels and glittery rhinestone accessories. Again, I feel like New Years is all about the glitter and glamour. Sparkling disco balls and shiny new shoes. Bold lipstick and liquid eyeliner add to the classic sophisticated feel of this look.

This week has been very stressful. I don’t mean to whine too much, but unfortunately my mind hasn’t been on my clothes. I’m also in desperate need of doing laundry so sadly my outfits have been pretty uninspired.
I am fortunate, though, that I have good people who love and take care of me when I’m feeling down and I’m trying to remain optimistic that things will get better. They have to, don’t they? I live in beautiful LA where magic and movies happen. I have to remind myself just how lucky I am. Things will bet better.
Last night’s outfit:

Sorry I haven’t been posting much this week. I’m getting geared up for COMIC CON!!! I’m excited for my outfits the next couple days. I’ll try and do a “What I Wore: Comic Con Edition!”

Yesterday was full of adventures. I took so many pictures. I discovered some new settings on my camera that make it even more like shooting film (optical viewfinder, no focus assisting light, new tricks for manual focus) so I’m excited to keep taking pictures with it! I’ll try and post more of my own pictures to make this tumblr more of a photo diary. I have a couple rolls of film that I need to get developed as well. I don’t even remember what is on them, but that’s half the fun of film, isn’t it?

I’m trying not to over think today. I overslept a little, I had weird dreams, a friend sent me the work of Lina Scheynius which I have been staring at obsessively all day and work has me doing some graphic design, which technically isn’t my job but I’m better at it than I thought so whatever. I took lunch with Renee on the precarious fire escape. We were convinced we were going to fall through the floor or drop our phones at any moment. 6th floor vertigo.

So, in all the excitement of the 4th of July I forgot to post this picture of my outfit on Tuesday! That being said, I hope everyone had a wonderful Independence Day and isn’t too hung over or sun burnt today.

Went out shopping with my girl Renee on our lunch break. It was our mission all week to try on these crazy shoes. Once I got them on, they were surprisingly comfortable. I have kind of messed up feet so I can’t wear heels often (and if I do they have to fit my feet perfectly) which makes me terribly sad. However, these shoes shifted the weight forward which I found quite comfy indeed. They were also very well padded. Renee is trying to talk me into buying a pair next week, but where on earth would I wear these beasts? I’m over 6 feet tall in them!

Who says you can’t wear long skirts in summer? This skirt is surprisingly cool, especially with the loose fitted top. I really need to stock up on more “summery” clothes, though…my wardrobe is much more geared towards cooler weather. Any thoughts on adding a “summery” feel to a wardrobe without adding too much color?
I blow dried my hair last night, which I never do. It resulted in super poofy hair that feels light and fluffy, but I think looks a little silly. I’ll put some styling wax in it later.

Today had some disheartening moments, but I am such a lucky girl and I have the greatest man every who reminds me of that every day. He always knows the perfect thing to say to make every all better. And I do my darn-dest to stay cheerful and optimistic.

- Long loose necked short sleeved shirt
- Leather studded waist cincher
- grey leggings
- black riding boots
Today was so busy I wasn’t able to take pictures of my outfit in the studio so I snapped a couple pictures on my phone when I got home. Forgive the quality, but it was actually much easier to take these than the studio ones. On days I don’t get a chance at work I might just go this route, if no one has any particular objections.
