NEW BLOG POST: Birthday Girl Today’s my birthday. I’ve lived 23 years.  It seems like so much time has passed and normally I’d be freaking out that I had wasted it all or some such similar nonsense. I am very hard on myself sometimes. However, this year’s birthday is somehow just reminding me that I am ok, I’m on track to great things and I am a very lucky girl who is surrounded by good and supportive people.  Like Carlos. Can I just take a moment to gush about how very much in love I am with this man? He is my wish list come true, my dream lover, my perfect partner. I know I’m getting into crazy cliche land here, but he genuinely completes me. We balance each other out so well, he makes me feel so secure and loved and safe. And all the while I’m just doing everything I can to try and be the very best most perfect person for him just because I am convinced he deserves no less. I know our friends sometimes get irritated at our inseparable-ness, but I honestly can’t imagine why anyone would want to be in a relationship, let alone marry, a person that they did not crave every second of every day. I am TERRIFIED at the thought of anything ever happening to him. Like, deep rooted childhood phobia terrified. His kisses keep the little pieces of my heart together. He’s taking me to Disney Land as my birthday present. Have I mentioned he’s the greatest man in the world? I’ll wear my mini mouse ears and maybe bring along my camera. This picture is of the outfit I wore last night when we went out to sing Karaoke. I drank more than anyone should on a Monday night but who cares, it’s my fucking birthday! Carlos almost didn’t let me out of the house dressed like this but it was so hot I couldn’t imagine wearing much else. Sheer dress over shorts and a top, heels, metal collar.
